Every listing carries a category, a subcategory and a location, so you can narrow to “Laptops at KNUST under GHS 2,000” instead of scrolling a group chat.
GrabAm covers all 16 regions of Ghana and 29 universities. Students can tag a campus and filter to their own hall; everyone else browses by region and city.
Most marketplaces only let you wait for the right listing to appear. Here you can also bid for it, or ask for it and let sellers come to you.
Find it, talk the price down, then pay into escrow instead of handing cash to a stranger.
List in a couple of minutes and keep the whole asking price. GrabAm takes nothing from sellers.
Can't find it? Post what you're after with a budget and let sellers bring it to you.
Some things go to auction instead of a fixed price. Fund your wallet, bid, and the highest bid wins.
That's escrow. Payment leaves your mobile money account but stops at GrabAm. It only continues to the seller after you've received what you paid for and said so.
The agreed price is charged to MTN MoMo, Telecel Cash or AT Money.
Funds are collected through Moolre, a Bank of Ghana licensed payment provider, and held, not forwarded.
Delivery or pickup, arranged in chat. The seller ships knowing the money is real and committed.
Inspect it first. Confirming is what releases the money, and it can't be reversed in the app. If you neither confirm nor raise an issue within 5 days of the seller handing the package to a rider, the order confirms itself so sellers aren't left unpaid indefinitely.
The payout lands in the seller's registered mobile money number, less fees.
Confirming delivery is the one action that releases the money, so if the item isn't what was listed, that's exactly what you don't do. Opening a dispute keeps the funds held while both sides put evidence in front of a GrabAm admin.
Refunds go back through Moolre to the original payment method. Read the full Buyer Protection Policy.
Post what you're looking for with a budget attached. Sellers who have it reply with an offer, and you pick the one you want. It's the marketplace working in reverse.
Brand new preferred.
I need one for the upcoming quarter finals. Any colour, the yellow is fine.
Hall visit preferred, evenings work best.

Post a requestSellers can put an item up for bidding instead of naming a price. Bids are binding and backed by real money held in your wallet, so a winning bid is a commitment, not a comment on a post.
Bidding needs a funded wallet. When you become the highest bidder, that amount moves from your available balance into a reserved balance: committed, but still yours.
The moment someone tops you, your reserved amount returns to your available balance automatically. Losing a bid never costs you anything.
A seller can set a secret minimum. You're told only whether a reserve exists and whether it's been met. If the auction ends below it, nothing sells and no money moves.
A bid in the last two minutes pushes the clock back out to five. That can happen three times, so an auction ends when bidding stops, not when the timer catches you out.
Payment is captured straight from your reserved balance, with a countdown showing the deadline. Miss it and the item passes to the next bidder, and the forfeit is recorded against your account.
Top up by mobile money, and your balance splits into what you can spend and what you've committed to a live bid. Available funds can be withdrawn to a registered MoMo number at any time; reserved funds unlock as soon as the bid settles.
The wallet is a stored-value balance for bidding, paying and refunds. It is not a bank account and earns no interest.
Selling costs 0% commission, so the only question that matters is whether your listing converts. Seller Insights shows you the drop-off between being seen, being asked about, and being bought. Per listing, not just in total.

Your net earnings are up 18% compared with the previous 30 days.

GrabAm writes these for you from your own numbers, so no dashboard-reading required.
Grabby isn't a help widget with canned answers. It searches live listings, compares them, checks your own orders and earnings, and quotes GrabAm's real policy text, then takes you to the screen you need.
Filtered by price, category and condition, then compares items side by side, finds similar ones cheaper, or lists the auctions ending soonest.
Your orders, offers, requests, listing performance and earnings. Ask “which listing converts best?” and it answers from your own numbers.
Every personal query runs as you, against the same row-level security the rest of the app uses. It cannot read another user's orders. Not by policy, by construction.
Questions about fees, escrow or disputes are answered from GrabAm's actual policy text rather than the assistant's memory of it.

Listings, offers, a requests board, a seller dashboard and escrow checkout, all live in the app today. No download needed; it runs in your browser.
The buy feed is filtered the way people actually shop on campus: by category, by campus, by whether the seller will negotiate, and by what you can afford.

Photos, condition, campus, the seller's rating and whether they're online, then one button to bargain and one to buy with your money protected.

For sellers this is a demand feed: scroll requests, spot something you already have, and respond. For buyers it's a way to stop searching and start receiving offers.

Your listings, your orders and your earnings in one place, with view counts so you know whether a listing is landing or needs a better photo.

A short form that forces the details buyers actually ask for, so you field fewer “is it still available, what condition, where are you?” messages.

GrabAm charges nothing to list and nothing to sell. The only fee is on the buyer's side, it's capped, and students pay half.
Verified with your campus on signup. Trade inside your hall or across universities.
Not a student? GrabAm is open to anyone in Ghana. Same escrow, same protection.
We'd rather tell you up front than have you find out at checkout.
Everything below is live in the app today.
Every one of these is a mechanism in the product, not a promise on a landing page.
Payments run through Moolre, licensed by the Bank of Ghana. GrabAm holds funds until the order completes rather than passing your cash straight to a stranger.
Buyers and sellers talk through in-app chat. Phone numbers aren't shared between users, and that chat history is your record if a deal turns sour.
Photo evidence is built into the app. Unboxing shots, condition photos and message history go to an admin who reviews both sides before deciding.
Only a completed transaction can produce a review, so a seller's rating reflects deals that actually happened rather than friends leaving stars.
Anyone asking you to send MoMo directly to “skip fees” is asking you to give up every protection here. Report it. That\'s what the report button is for.
Nothing releases the money except you confirming receipt. Inspect the item first. Once confirmed, it can't be undone in the app.
